A lot of my YouTube followers tend to call me Mango since my YouTube handle is “MangoSirene”. :D It’s one of my favorite fruits~!

I really wish I could convert all my “CatalystSirene” usernames to “MangoSirene”, just to be consistent, but Facebook won’t let me do that. Because it’s lame.

We’re planning to do one more Young Justice shoot, but then after that, we’ll probably retire those costumes now that the show has ended. Plus we want to move on to new characters and new series!

As for reviewing the new Batman show, I’m not planning to. Honestly I just need a break from doing reviews since there are other things I’d like to do on my YouTube channel. Like more Cosplay 101 videos! :D

Thank you so much! I’ve only really been concentrating on my upper body strength for the past two or three months, I’m definitely not as strong as I’d like yet. But this is the upper body lifting routine I do right now:

• Shoulder Press: 30 lbs x 15 | 30 lbs x 10 | 20 lbs x 10
• Bicep Curls: 10 lbs x 15 | 15 lbs x 15 | 25 lbs x 10
• Triceps Pushdown: 27.5 lbs x 15 | 27.5 lbs x 15 | 22.5 lbs x 15
• Bench Press: 30 lbs x 15 | 30 lbs x 15 | 40 lbs x 10
• Lat Pulldown: 45 lbs x 15 | 45 lbs x 15 | 50 lbs x 15
• Pull-Ups: 3 sets of 5 (because ha. hahaha. pull-ups.)

I do this three times a week, then throughout the week on non-gym days I also do various calisthenics and more basic dumbbell exercises like push-ups, side lateral raises, hammer curls, etc.

Hi Nina, not to be creepy, but are you wearing any make up in that last picture you took with your batgirl necklace? I think you look great! I'm currently trying to figure out what I should buy for a natural/basic look for cosplay. Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks so much! I had class this morning, and I typically use neutral tones for my eyes, along with than some eyeliner and a pale pink lipstick. I also take that photo after sitting outside in the sun for two hours (without sunscreen, whoops - now I look like a lobster) so my cheeks are a little rosy too. :D

I do have a beginner’s cosplay makeup tutorial that may help you, but if you’ve already watched that and still want suggestions, here’s a list of basics to have on hand for cosplay makeup!

• primer
• foundation stick (for covering blemishes and dark circles)
• liquid foundation or BB cream that matches your skin tone
• neutral eyeshadow palette (look for something with cream, beige, a light brown, and a dark brown)
• eyeliner (both white and black are helpful to have)
• mascara
• loose facial powder (again, match your skin tone!)
• blush palette (try to find one that has 3 different shades)

I really love the E.L.F. brand since it’s gloriously cheap, but the products are still a decent quality which is great for cosplayers (and college students!). Their brushes are super inexpensive too, so you can stock up on a variety of brushes. If you’re just starting out with makeup, grab one of each style of brush they offer: a powder brush, a blush brush, a foundation brush, etc. You can find their line at Target. I also love CoverGirl, especially their cover sticks and liquid foundations.

But try a variety of brands! Everyone’s skin is different, so experiment to find which products work best for you!

Hey Nina, I know you work as a bridal consultant and plan to one day own your own wedding planning business but whats your dream wedding? I mean some such as your self who is so entrenched in the wedding world has to have their dream wedding already planned out to the last tiny detail right?

You’d think so, but not quite! I have several things that I want for my wedding, which I’ve decided based on my experiences in the industry, i.e. learning what works and what doesn’t. None of it is super-specific, so it’s more of what I’d prefer than any sort of definite plan.

• during the spring, preferably outdoors
• color scheme of blush pink/mint green and either silver or gold for accents
• a small personal wedding cake for us to cut but cupcakes to serve
• giant dessert table!!!
• a string quartet to play during the ceremony

Mostly I just have a lot of general ideas. I’m sure my preferences will taste between now and when I actually get married, plus I’d like my fiance to be involved with the planning process too (or at least have a say - it’ll be his special day as well, not just mine!).

I just caught up in Teen Wolf. Can season 3 start now? And anything you wish would happen (except the obvious Sterek :p)?

Tbqh if Sterek is ever going to happen in the show, I’d rather it not happen until the last season. I like slow-burn relationships where it takes them ages of dancing around each other before finally realizing that they’re in love as opposed to getting together right away. Jeff Davis once mentioned in an interview, “Here’s one thing I will always keep in mind as both a fan and writer of TV: When Maddie and David finally did get together in Moonlighting… the show was over.” (x)

As for what I wish would happen in Season 3…

• No ~*redemption arc*~ for Allison because she does not need to be redeemed jfc
• Lydia, Stiles, and Allison becoming a human trifecta of awesome
• Sheriff Stilinski finding out the truth so that his relationship with Stiles can be repaired
• Danny finding out the truth (which will probably happen if the speculation about his boyfriend is true)
• Scott and Derek learning to work together
• Derek realizing that he needs to be a mentor and a role model for Isaac instead of using aggression
• Derek learning to actually trust people???
• Derek smiling???
• Derek???
