notes: Written in response to an anonymous Tumblr prompt: “Could you write a Spitfire fanfic? Because I’d love to see your take on how Artemis would continue.”

Some days, the pain is so great that she can’t fight it, lets it consume her until she recognizes nothing but the ache inside her chest. On those days, she hides away in the corner of their closet, back pressed against the wall, the door shut so that it’s dark and silent. She tucks herself into a nest of his clothing, burrows into it, breathes deeply through the pain and pretends that he’s with her in the darkness. Only then does the ache lessen; never disappearing, no, but when she can lie to herself and inhale the lingering scent of him as if he’s at her side, it lessens.

So essentially, after the ending of Green Lantern and YJ I naturally assumed that Artemis also becomes a Blue Lantern in hopes of finding Wally still alive somewhere with Aya.
After all, they just dissolved.

I will not be doing a review for “Endgame.” I absolutely hated the finale, and I thought it was an awful end for the season and the show as a whole. I spent most of the episode yelling at the TV and generally getting angry. And, frankly, I didn’t want to end my reviews on such an extremely negative note.
But here’s my review for the episode: it was horrible. The Green Lantern finale demonstrated how to perfectly wrap up a season/series. The Young Justice finale did the opposite.
The resolution of the multiple plot lines was disappointing. It was irritating how they had to restate and clarify the plot of the season every five minutes just so it would make sense. Wally’s death was anti-climactic due to the fact that the characters hardly reacted (i.e. Artemis shed a couple tears, but Dick hardly seemed bothered that his best friend just died, Barry wasn’t even there to tell Wally’s parents, etc). The final scene was meant to imply that Darkseid was involved the whole time, but it was unnecessary and it left the show feeling terribly incomplete.
So you can see why I don’t want that to be my final Young Justice video. ;)
PS: I’ve always had more videos than just YJ reviews on my channel. My cosplay videos and “TV Time” videos will continue, and when Legend of Korra returns, I’ll be doing reviews for that. As for IMT, we have no plans to do more YJ TV.
